Goal: Achieve 100% vaccination of stray and pet dogs in Tiruchirapalli city corporation limits.
Rabies prevention begins with proactive vaccination—and our Anti-Rabies Vaccination Campaign is a bold step toward making Tiruchirapalli a rabies-free city. With an ambitious goal of achieving 100% vaccination coverage for stray and pet dogs within the city corporation limits, this campaign is built on strategic partnerships, mass outreach, and sustained follow-up. The campaign aligns with public health priorities and aims to protect both human and animal lives through consistent, large-scale vaccination efforts.
The campaign includes regular anti-rabies vaccination camps conducted in key urban and semi-urban areas, focusing on stray and community dogs. In collaboration with the Tamilnadu Animal Husbandry Department, we ensure timely access to quality vaccines and technical expertise. Each vaccinated dog is tagged or recorded via a mobile database system to prevent duplication and monitor coverage. Pet owners are also actively engaged through awareness sessions and follow-up support to maintain their dogs' vaccination schedules.
Our impact goal is to vaccinate over 40,000+ dogs across Tiruchirapalli within the next three years. By building a well-monitored, city-wide vaccination grid, we aim to drastically reduce rabies cases and prevent needless human and animal deaths. This campaign is not just a medical intervention—it’s a community-driven public health movement that safeguards every citizen through compassion, action, and accountability.
